ABOUT ME

As a mechanical engineering graduate, I was always interested in learning and understanding the science behind bowling.

Throughout my 20+ years as an amateur bowler, I kept learning about bowling ball science, lane surfaces, oil transitions and how different factors affect a bowler's performance.

Now as a Bowling Coach, I see it as as my duty to pass on my knowledge to other bowlers, so that they may benefit from my years of accumulated knowledge.

I’ve been bowling for more than 20 years, my first bowling game was as a kid when I was around 10, went to bowling alleys with friends like once a month when I was 14 to 15. Got formal training in the sport via school CCAs, purchased my personal equipment when I was around 17, and have always been bowling since then. I had years in my life when I didn’t bowl at all due to National Service, Career and such, but when I had the spare time and was looking for a hobby, I always find myself turning back to Tenpin Bowling.

I’ve made countless friends, had many precious life experiences and memories made through the sport of Bowling, that when I look at other bowlers, I feel that I just want to help them enjoy the sport more.

Most people find that when they improve in the sport and score more strikes and spares, they enjoy the sport better. Some might find it more enjoyable when they join competitions, teams, leagues and benefit from the friendship and social bonding.

If my knowledge and experience can help other bowlers score better, participate in more competitive events and expand the Tenpin Bowling community, it will give more meaning to my journey though Bowling, and would be my way of giving back to the Tenpin Bowling community as well. Ultimately, I just want more people to enjoy Tenpin Bowling.
